Using Private FTP Accounts

How do users with access get into a Private FTP Drop Box account to transfer files?

There are several ways to access an FTP Drop Box.

1) Using an FTP program, such as WS_FTP or Fetch, the user can log into a private Drop Box with the following information:

Host Name = ftp.domain-name.com
User ID = Name of Drop Box account
Password = Password for Drop Box account

2) Using a browser such as Netscape that is capable of FTP, you can type in the URL:

ftp://nameofdropbox@ftp.domain-name.com

A dialog box will pop up asking you for your password. Enter your password, press enter and you will now be logged into your Private FTP Drop Box.
